Hello International friends! I know that i’ve neglected you a bit cause for a whole month I wrote just in Italian. Believe me or not, at the beginning, I even tried to translate everything in English to make you understand, but it was too complicated for me! Too many Italian expressions that were impossible to translate in English. But now here I am. Just for you with my Homemade Italian pizza recipe.
What you need (for about 4 big pizzas, serving 6 – 8 persons):
- 1 kg All- purpose flour
- 500 ml of warm water
- 20 gr salt
- 1 cube (25 gr) of brewer’s yeast
- 6 spoon of Olive Oil
- 2 teaspoons of sugar
Dissolve the yeast and the 2 teaspoon of sugar in 250 ml of warm water.
Put in a capacious bowl the All-purpose flour. “Dig” a hole in the middle of it and pour the yeast melted, the salt (dissolved in a little bit of water) and the six spoons of Olive Oil. Mix with the hands and add a little bit at a time the leftover water.
Mix everything till the dough is soft and smooth.
Givethe dough a ball shape and leave it rise, covered by a wet tea towel, for at least 2 hours.
Once the dough is rised, divide it in 4 pieces and start to roll out the dough. Spread on it a little bit of Olive Oil and tomato sauce. Add mozzarella on top and whatever you like (pepperoni, onions, mushrooms, hot dog, feta, spinach…). Put it in the oven at 250° for about 10 minutes or a little more and…that’s it! You made it!
Sounds weird, but in Italy we use a lot to have pizza with french fries on top. And believe me, it is A M A Z I N G !!! Even french fries and pepperoni or french fries and hot dog. You guys need to taste it! They are absolutely my favourites when I’m sad. They cheer me up in just a slice! But, honestly, I like almost every kind of pizza. My new favourites are two:
- spinach, feta, pepperoni and bacon (you can see it on the picture)
- caramel onion, bacon and brie (Omg!!!!)
If you need any suggestion for pizza topping, just text me and I’ll be super happy to help you!
